Lay Ministries
Kerygma Parish Ministries will work with you to strengthen and organize ministries for your parish. These lay ministries should serve as the backbone of your parish. Live, dynamic ministries attract others to participate in the parish community. Kerygma will show the ministries how to reach out to younger members. Those in the 30-50 age group need to be at the helm of many of these ministries, while the parish also shows respect for the older parishioners who have run ministries for years. The younger, middle-aged parishioners may need new and different type ministries than older parishioners. There is copious research that reveals what those in the 30-50 age group are looking for. Kerygma will demonstrate where these type ministries have been successful.
Jesus tells us, I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples.
As Jesus’ disciples we are called to serve his Church and to “bear much fruit”. Your parish can provide parishioners with many opportunities to share their charisms and meet their obligations to the Lord. Your parishioners have ownership in our parish family and as family members, your parish will welcome and encouraged all and any contributions of time and talents from our brothers and sisters.
Kerygma will focus on creating and improving different type ministries within difference categories.
